Vintage Art Deco Riviere Open Back Crystal Sterling Silver Necklace.
This is from my own personal collection of 30 years. I am selling some of my favorite pieces. Being a retired entertainer, I just simply do not wear these amazing pieces anymore. Time to pass them on to a lucky someone. I just love these open back, crystal necklaces. I have many. Circa late 1940's. These beautiful open back riviere style necklaces in sterling silver are becoming harder and harder to find. Collectors like to hold on to them. I looove this one in particular because of the unique square crystals. But I already have a few just like it. This is stamped sterling on the spring ring clasp on the necklace. I have added 2 sterling silver split jump rings to make this 16" in total length. The crystals are set in an open back prong setting to let the light shine through. Square emerald cut stones. Ooh the sparkle on these open back necklaces are Aaamaaazing! This sweet riviere design is ultra feminine. This lays nicely on the neck. This is a very versatile piece, it can be worn with just about any outfit.  I would say the crystals are medium to large in size. They are not small. I always receive a lot of compliments when wore this sparkly bauble. You will love it! Please see pictures for measurements. Display box is not included. All stones are prong set, clear, sparkly, secure and present. Simply an elegant, classic, feminine, stunning piece of history to own and cherish.
