a wonderful time capsule of the North Conway/Mount Washington Valley, New Hampshire area from the 1979 timeframe.
Careful handling of these documents due to their age is recommended.

- Information pamphlet from the "Conway Scenic Railroad, North Conway, NH" in very good condition for its age. 6-page, tri-fold colorful pamphlet with 1979 train information, schedules, prices and maps. Measures 4" by 9" closed, 12" by 9" fully unfolded.
- Informational booklet "Welcome To Our Railroad" in well-loved condition. The entire booklet has wrinkles on the upper right-hand corner and the two staples in the binding show some rust due to age. In black and white with milepost information, map, and train information, this booklet is 8 pages and measures 5.5" by 8.5".
- 2 Mount Cranmore information pamphlets:
The Skimobile Scenic Mountain Ride - Mount Cranmore
is a multicolored (blue cover) 6-page tri-fold brochure containing information on summer and winter activities offered at Mount Cranmore, the location of the Skimobile, driving directions from all points, skiing, The Hannes Schneider Ski School at Mt. Cranmore, and The Eating House. This brochure is in good condition and measures 8.5" by 3.75" folded, 11" by 8.5" fully unfolded.
Mt. Cranmore Skimobile 1978-1979 Rates
is a red-covered, black and white 8-page quad-folded brochure with information on winter activities, skiing, The Hannes Schneider Ski School at Mt. Cranmore, snow farming and snow making, racing program, The Eating House, ski equipment rental rates for the 1978-1979 season, lift ticket rates, ski school rates, transportation information for driving, air travel and by bus, and the Skier's Responsibility Code. This brochure is in good condition and measures 9" by 3.75" folded, 15" by 9" fully unfolded.

Ride! The Gondolas to the Top of Wildcat Mountain
is a multicolored 6-page tri-fold brochure containing 1979 gondola information, Pinkham Notch scenic area information, Route 16 (The White Mountain Highway) information, map and summer season operating information. This brochure is in very good condition and measures 9" by 4" folded, 12" by 9" fully unfolded.
Ride! The Gondolas to the Top of Wildcat Mountain to the East's most spectacular alpine panorama
is a one-page supplemental with 1979 Summer Season operating hours and rate information and additional gondola information. It is slightly wrinkled on the upper right-hand corner and measures 9" by 4".

Green Granite Motel and Apartments,
North Conway, NH is a single-sided 1979 Rate Schedule. It has slight wrinkling along the bottom edge and measures 9.125" by 4.125".
Sky Valley Motel,
Bartlett, NH. is a 6-page brown and white pamphlet containing 1979 rate, unit and pool information and driving directions. This pamphlet is in good condition and measures 8.5" by 3.75" folded, 11" by 8.5" fully unfolded.
- A vintage copy of the
Mountain Ear,
the Mount Washington Valley area free newspaper
dated May 18, 1979, Volume 4, Number 1. This newspaper was a free weekly publication from 1976 to 2005 and included a multitude of information including area attractions, lodging, restaurants, tournaments, fairs, theatres and civic events. This newspaper is in good condition for its age but
should be handled carefully.
There is some yellowing of the paper and obvious wear with wrinkling on the upper right-hand corner a small tear on the corner at the fold, and some small tears along various edges. Measuring 11.5" by 8.5" folded, 16.6" by 8.5" open and 22" by 16.5" fully unfolded, and is full of information pertaining to North Conway and the Mount Washington Valley area from a time in the not-too-distant past.
This vintage package is an excellent acquisition for collectors of New Hampshire memorabilia in general and North Conway/Mount Washington Valley memorabilia in particular.
