HISTORY
Clarence L. Watson and Fred A. Newell founded the silver company bearing their names in 1880 in Attleboro, Massachusetts.  The company focused on the manufacture of sterling silver flatware and hollow ware with showrooms in Chicago, San Francisco, and New York City.  The mark on this souvenir spoon was used by Watson from 1905 through 1929.
DESCRIPTION
This listing is for an antique Watson Silver Company souvenir spoon which carries the likeness of a USMA West Point military cadet in full dress uniform.  His rifle rests alongside his right leg; the rectangular shaped cartouche on the back of his uniform top is marked U.S.  The underside of the spoon is marked with the Watson silver mark and the word STERLING.
CONDITION
This antique Watson sterling silver souvenir spoon is in wonderful condition.  The sterling silver is free of any signs of damage such as bend or dents to the surface.  The surface of the sterling silver carries a warm, antique patina.  This antique Watson sterling silver West Point military academy souvenir spoon has come from a smoke free estate collection and is odor free.
