Antique bead Art Deco necklace from Japan? estate necklace.
Antique necklace with large almond shaped beads from the estate of an old Japanese neighbor I picked up years back. It looks possibly hand carved. Polished, glossy. Please go by photos I don’t know much about this piece other than the couple were from Japan and they collected antiques and saved absolutely everything. I’m taking a guess it may be from Japan. It’s in very wearable condition. The color may have yellowed with age and is gently different on each almond. The beads have a subtle variation in color that looks striped or mottled.
Beads look similar to celluloid, bone, and/or coral bead pieces I’m seeing in a similar vein here on eBay.
